I needed a place to express my identity.
2. What does your username have to do with you?
I spent a lot of time and thought on it, actually! I wanted it to have something to do with stars, because stars have always been a personal symbol for me. At first I thought of calling it StarlightSands or something, but "shoals" was a lovelier word. ^_^
3. What is your current avatar of?

A: No, I'm not. I've seen several people doing that lately, disappearing suddenly without a goodbye, and that's not something I want to do. I've spent two years of my life posting poems here, and I don't want to waste that time by throwing this all away. My poems will still be here for people to read if they want. It doesn't seem like people are that interested in reading them, but they're there and they'll be staying for now.
Q: Does this mean you're committing suicide??
A: No. If I was going to kill myself, I would have done it two years ago. I can't say that I'm happy with my life right n

!SolaceinSubconscious (https://www.deviantart.com/solaceinsubconscious) Well, apparently my friend SolaceinSubconscious (https://www.deviantart.com/solaceinsubconscious) has deleted his account...I don't know the details as to why, but I just want to make this journal to let him know, if he does come back and reads this, that he's missed and welcome here. Solace was one of the first people to watch me, even though he had so many more watchers and I was pathetically depressive and angst-ridden at the time...I needed support and he gave it, despite what a poor poet I was back then. He also gave me some very important advice when I needed it desperately -- so I owe him a lot for the impact he's had on my life.

1. How did you join dA?
I joined on the old site a long time ago with my drawings and photography of my sculpture and carving. I got sick of the popularity and everybody begging for free/cheap commissions or art trades... people got on me for not replying and not doing anything for them. I was fed up and deleted that account. I already has this account to talk to people privately, and I decided to start submitting my old writings on here with a new one thrown in sparingly.
2. What does your username have to do with you?
My real name is Lancelot. Zevais is my way of spelling the name of a character that was similar to the Arthurian Lancelot but in an old rare Chinese tale.
3. What is your current avatar of?
My face obscured by a hat while balancing two toothpicks with my tongue.
4. How many watchers do you have, and how many do you watch?
46 watch me, and I watch 242 people technically... but most of those are just artists with drawings I like... I only engage in conversation with people 15-25 people.
5. Do you have more than one account?
I deleted my old account, and I have one completely anonymous account to help vent seriously twisted and perverse things that mess with my head if I don't write them down.
6. Name three of your favorite deviants on dA.
Shikyo-Uchiha (she is practically a god-daughter to me)
Contradictory55 (her and I have had some epic twisting back and forth)
Story-of-a-Mind (we have shared quite a bit)

There is one person I've actually met offline, but there are reasons we wouldn't reveal eachother as having met.
There are three others that know ALL of my social media and my phone number; I talk to them, but I am hesitant to just out them... they are like little sisters or god-daughters to me.

I am not consistant. If I make a twisted reflection, I always favorite that work into my folder of favorites for literature I have twisted.

Out of nowhere in the middle of talking to me via notes/messages on DA, a young girl decided to let me know that she wished she wasn't visiting relatives so she could "please herself" (I worded it much less explicitly). She was underage, I never led her on, and she continued by telling me that she was thinking of me. I've had similar encounters before (on myspace, xanga, livejournal, and a few other places even), but this girl was far more explicit than the rest and it was out of nowhere.

My brain just compels me to write at random.

When I did, I had a method, and I was very slow and wasted a lot of paper doing figures and trace paper layering before I ever got to the inking stage. It irritates me how someone can just grab some inks and be done in an hour or a few hours when the same piece would take me a month or months.
